Dual Diagnosis - Birch & Maple Lodge

Program Description

Birch Maple Lodge provides short-term (up to 18 months) inpatient assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults with a moderate to profound developmental disability and mental health concerns (dual diagnosis). The goal is to assist patients in asserting themselves in their care planning to enhance quality of life and wellness, decrease behavioral challenges, teach new skills, and improve relationships.

The unit provide specialized assessment and treatment through a highly skilled interprofessional team that considers the whole person and delivers patient- and family-centered care plans designed to meet individual needs, interests, and abilities. The goal is to support recovery, reduce symptoms and behaviors that limit community living, and help patients remain in or return to their homes through coordinated collaboration with families and community-based services.

Access Information

All referrals are processed through Central Referral and must come from a health care provider. Complete the Regional Mental Health Referral Form.
