Program Description

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit (CAMHU) is an acute care unit for youth who are in acute psychiatric distress.

Working in collaboration with Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation, this unit provides in-patient treatment to adolescents at risk of harming themselves or others, or struggling with acute symptoms of mental illness.

Access Information

Youth requiring a psychiatric admission are to present to their local emergency department.
