Counselling and Treatment - Substance Use
Individual counselling for individuals with substance use issues.
This program provides community out-patient substance use counselling for individuals and families struggling with substance use issues.
Counselling services are available on an individual, family and group basis and focus on the responses to substance use. In addition, staff will: facilitate and coordinate contact with community resources, maintain a supportive relationship with the individual and family, and provide follow-up services after discharge from treatment.
Self-initiated referrals are accepted directly to this program, as well as via Here 24/7.
Telephone intake.
Referral criteria include: low or no cognitive impairment; ambulatory and without serious physical/mobility impairments; complex or chronic health concerns; issues of life transition - grief and loss, etc.; can have concurrent psychiatric diagnoses.
