Diversion and Court Support - Mental Health
Diversion and Court Support - Substance Use
Providing support and programming to individuals involved in the court system with substance use health, and/or mental health concerns that require treatment opportunities. Drug Treatment Court, Mental Health Court, and the Intensive Drug Outpatient Treatment Program offer supports via daily treatment groups, weekly court appearances and access to psychiatry as needed.
The Court Support Program also assists individuals in navigating the judicial system, where possible.
Court Diversion supports individuals charged with minor offences who can be diverted out of the justice system and offered the opportunity to set treatment and recovery goals in mental health programs instead.
The Release from Custody program provides case management support to individuals in the community on release conditions, including probation and parole.
Call Central Intake for referral. Referrals are often made directly by Crown Attorneys and lawyers with respect to minor criminal offences where mental health may have been a contributing factor in commission of the alleged offence.
