Program Description

Crisis Intervention provided in the emergency department for children, adolescents and families experiencing a psychiatric emergency (e.g. suicidal/homicidal thoughts, hallucinations, delusions or bizarre behaviour). The team will work with the patient and family to determine whether hospitalization is necessary.

Access Information

Children and adolescents experiencing a psychiatric emergency should visit the Crisis Intervention Team at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa Emergency Department.
