Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic
Provides low barrier access for people seeking treatment for substance use. This clinic will provide brief individual counseling, management of acute withdrawal from alcohol and opioids, and medication assisted treatment including anti-craving medications for alcohol and opioid agonist therapy including buprenorphine (sublingual and injectable), methadone and slow-release oral morphine. The clinic provides harm-reduction supplies and supports, and connects patients with community treatment resources.
The program accepts patients by self-referral as well as referral by a physician.
A call before attending is welcome but not required.
Patients who need urgent assessment can be seen without a pre-booked appointment.
RAAM hours are intended for people attending the clinic for the first time and for people who are not connected to care elsewhere.
RAAM operates as an in-person and virtual clinic.
