Peer/Self-Help - Substance Use
A harm reduction-based program for community members with a history of or current substance use issues. Focuses on promoting personal well-being, community integration and increased quality of life through participation in paid training sessions over the course of 10 weeks (2 days per week for 2 hours each session), followed by paid work opportunity (3-4 hours per week for 3-4 months).
Individuals interested can apply by writing a letter of interest and submitting to the program Coordinator.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must live in Supportive Housing for People with Problematic Substance Use (SHPPSU) or access services with The Neighbourhood Group Community Services (TNG)'s Urban Health and Homelessness Services department.
