Program Description

ADAS is an educational workshop which provides participants an opportunity to complete a series of self-report questionnaires related to their use of alcohol and/or drugs. Session education includes:
- information on various substances and their effects on the brain and body
- how addiction develops
- Harm reduction and safer use information
- information on problem gambling and gaming behaviours
- how to recognize when substance use, gambling or gaming behaviours become a problem
- counselling options

Services can be accessed by contacting Here 24/7. Individuals should indicate they are seeking the House of Friendship - Alcohol and Drug Awareness (ADAS) workshop.

Once a referral is made, a House of Friendship staff person will call the individual to register for preferred date, time and location.
