Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health
If someone and/or their child are in crisis and in need of immediate support during our regular business hours, a Quick Response (QR) worker can provide same day mental health support. When accessing this service, the assigned QR worker will complete a risk assessment and gather appropriate information. Based on this information, the QR worker will create a plan to stabilize the situation and ensure safety for all. This plan may include a follow-up session a safety plan, engagement of other community partners or referrals to other Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth services.
Call, contact through the website, or walk-in to completed a referral. Referral accepted from children, youth, parents, caregivers and third parties. Children who self refer must be able to use and understand the information provided once they engage in services.
