Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health

If someone and/or their child are in crisis and in need of immediate support during our regular business hours, a Quick Response (QR) worker can provide same day mental health support. When accessing this service, the assigned QR worker will complete a risk assessment and gather appropriate information. Based on this information, the QR worker will create a plan to stabilize the situation and ensure safety for all. This plan may include a follow-up session a safety plan, engagement of other community partners or referrals to other Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth services.

Referral accepted from children, youth, parents, caregivers and third parties. Call, contact through the website, or walk in to complete a referral.
Children who self refer must be able to use and understand the information provided once they engage in services.
