Outpatient Clinic - Mental Health
Specialized psychiatric outreach assessment and treatment recommendations for adults who have a mental health in addition to a diagnosis of Intellectual Disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder with significant adaptive/behavioral challenges including self-injurious behavior and/or aggression.
Primary focus is on pharmacological management with identification of internal and external referral sources that are a good match for client.
This is a consultative service with option for time limited follow-up, determined on a case by case basis.
Referrals must be completed by primary care providers. Referrals are received by the Central Intake Office and reviewed by a team of clinicians. Contact the Central Intake Office or see website for referral forms.
Inclusion criteria:
- must have an intellectual disability or autism spectrum disorder (may also have difficulty with adaptive function / severe behavior) where diagnostic clarification and treatment recommendations are being sought.
- comprehensive medication list and treatment summary
- must have engaged primary and secondary levels of service from services within the DSO
