Bed-Based Treatment - Substance Use
A residential addiction/co-dependent/relapse prevention program. Individuals could be having difficulties with familial or personal relationships.
Individual must have attended a Residential Program in Ontario and is required to be out of treatment 6 months or more to be eligible for service. Assessment is done in-house; individuals can self-refer. Individual must be sober from alcohol for seven days and two weeks for drugs prior to admission and they must maintain contact with intake worker on a weekly basis.
Most assessments are done by referral sources such as assessment and referral offices. Under some circumstances the assessment tools are given to individual upon arrival. Individuals are referred to an assessment organization prior to admission. If referred to Westover, and if individuals meet the criteria, they are put on a waiting list. Appropriate paperwork is completed at the assessment and referral office. Individuals outside of Southwest catchment area need to have an assessment from a referring organization in their own region.
