Vocational/Employment
Solutions for Youth is a pre-employment project for youth aimed at developing work habits and skills necessary to obtain and retain employment or to return to school. Participants are paid for 6 hours per day at minimum wage. The program provides workshops on resume/interview techniques, job search techniques as well as stress/anger management, conflict resolution, budgeting and self-esteem. Participants are involved in work placements.
Referral accepted from all sources including self-referral. Call Intake.
Intake will schedule an appointment and assess the individual's eligibility for the program. Youth participate in a interview process prior to group starting as there are limited spaces per group offered. The program is directed at youth who have been diagnosed with or self-identify as having a mental illness, a disability, or a barrier to employment and who are committed to finding employment.
