Abuse Services
The Francophone Women Survivors of Sexual Abuse program offers individual counselling, therapeutic groups, as well as support and education to family and friends of women survivors of sexual abuse who speak French. This program also provides information, education and awareness initiatives to the general public. When the individual is ready, she is admitted into a therapeutic group. Individuals may also attend a victim to survivors group. Individuals with a developmental handicap may attend a personal safety skills group. Drop in information or thematic sessions (six themes of two hours) are offered one-to-two times per year for family and friends of individuals.
Referrals accepted from all referral sources, including self-referral. Call to book an appointment. Services are for women and individuals who identify as a woman.
Financial support for transportation, which includes bus tickets, taxi cabs and parking, as well as child care costs, may be available. Individuals must have outside mental health support services such as a psychiatrist if and when needed.
