Program Description

Behavioural Supports Ontario Mobile Outreach Team (BSO MOT) is a specialized program designed to enhance existing services for residents in long-term care (LTC) homes who exhibit responsive behaviours and to provide support and education to the staff that care for them.

The main goal is to provide non-pharmacological strategies to improve the quality of life for residents and to build the capacity of the care team to continue using the strategies after the withdrawal of BSO MOT.

Access Information

In consultation with the family and resident, if appropriate, registered staff may refer LTC residents who exhibit responsive behaviours to BSO MOT, using the St. Josephs Care Group, Specialized Geriatric Services Referral form.
