Early Psychosis Intervention
The Early Intervention Program for Psychosis supports individuals who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Services include a comprehensive assessment, referral to appropriate community resources, and case management support. Instruction about such topics as medication management, symptom management, and recognition of behaviour patterns is provided. Individual and group programs provide instruction in areas such as daily living skills, social skills and peer related recreational and leisure events. The program strongly encourages family involvement. Education and guidance is provided to the individual as well as to their identified family members.
