Program Description

Geriatric Psychiatry Community Services of Ottawa (GPCSO) provides psychiatric diagnosis and treatment consultation and case management for individuals with depression, anxiety, psychosis, grief or caregiver stress, or those suffering from dementia complicated by behavioural and psychological symptoms. Individualized assessment and treatment in individual's home, including retirement homes, is provided. Counselling, support and education are offered to caregivers.

Access Information

Referral from physician is required(exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis).
All referrals are processed through central intake. Referrals are received by fax or mail with recent investigative reports and laboratory work. A consultation with our geriatric psychiatrist will be scheduled by the medical secretary.
