Program Description

Geriatric Psychiatry Service of Prescott-Russell (GPSPR) provides specialized consultation, assessment, treatment and follow-ups to seniors, and provides support to their families and other primary care providers. The GPSPR outreach program offers services to seniors living in long-term care facilities, private nursing homes and in the home environment. Behaviour Support Ontario initiative offered within this program. Model of service is psycho-geriatric outreach.

Access Information

Medical referrals required. Referrals are accepted from primary care professionals (nurse practitioners, general practitioners, hospitals). Referrals must be directed by mail or fax to the Centralized Access program.

To be eligible for service, individual must be experiencing neurocognitive symptoms as well as being experiencing mental health issues.
