Program Description

This group is for children with parents who are separated/divorced. The core topics include understanding divorce and separation, normalizing divorce and feelings around changes, divorce reactions and expectations, and considering the positive aspects of separation and divorce. There is a mandatory review session at the end for the parents to participate in. This parental session highlights the risks and benefits of communication, the importance of co-parenting and structure and consistency, as well as how to establish circles of support.

Access Information

Anyone can begin a referral (i.e., child, parent, family member, teacher, doctor, FCS worker etc.) by calling to book with the Pathway Navigator.

Please note, in certain cases of custody/access arrangements (i.e., joint or unspecified custody) consent by both biological parents, or a proof of sole custody will be required. All Phoenix Centre programs are a voluntary service.
