Family Capacity Building and Support (CYMH)

Program Description

A group for parents/caregivers designed to provide participants with support, guidance, and foundational concepts to help them as they navigate through parenting challenges. Topics for discussion include: parenting styles, developmental ages and stages, the parent/child relationship, understanding the brain (yours and your child's), tips on how to stay calm and drop the rope, stay calm and Plan B, and how to spend positive, quality time with your kids.

Access Information

Anyone can begin a referral (i.e., child, parent, family member, teacher, doctor, FCS worker etc.) by calling to book with the Pathway Navigator.

Please note, in certain cases of custody/access arrangements (i.e., joint or unspecified custody) consent by both biological parents, or a proof of sole custody will be required. All Phoenix Centre programs are a voluntary service.
