Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health

Program Description

Provides language and culturally specific assessment, consultation and treatment to Mandarin and Cantonese speaking people with mental illness. Offers short term psychotherapy, psychosocial skill building (individual and group), and psycho-educational (individual and group).

People accessing this service must be Mandarin or Cantonese speaking and non-English speaking. The two languages served are Mandarin and Cantonese.

Access Information

Referrals must be made by physicians or nurse practitioners.
Please fax the completed Centre for Mental Health referral form.

Eligibility Criteria:
Patients between the ages of 18-64 experiencing mood disorders (anxiety, depression, bipolar), OCD, PTSD, psychotic disorders (psychosis, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder) and who would like to receive service in Cantonese, Mandarin or English.
