Counselling and Treatment - Substance Use
Treatment models offered are: psychosocial, bio-psychosocial, cognitive-behavioural, stages of change, harm reduction and family focus. Solution focus and brief intervention treatment (guided self-change). The program includes: intake; referrals to other appropriate services; ongoing assessment and treatment planning; monitoring and support; education and information; advocacy and discharge planning. Stop smoking programming is available for individuals without substance use issues.
Anyone can refer including self-referrals. Call or email for intake. Individuals are referred and the basic intake sheet is completed. Individuals are scheduled for an
orientation/assessment appointment. Must be assessed in-house and then treatment planning follows.
