Assertive Community Treatment Teams (ACTT)
The Assertive Community Treatment Teams are interdisciplinary teams of mental health professionals who provide client-centred, highly individualized treatment, support and rehabilitation to people suffering from schizophrenia, schizoaffective or bipolar illness.
The individuals served are adults with the highest intensity of need, due to complex, long-term, persistent symptoms.
Referrals can be made by anyone, including self, friends, family members, psychiatrists, health care providers or other community organizations.
Individuals must be adults with a serious mental illness, schizophrenia, schizoaffective or bipolar disorder of a chronic nature, and a significant history of hospital admissions.
