Peer Support

Type Of Service

Peer/Self-Help - Mental Health

Program Description

This program offers opportunities to explore wellness, with groups often offered in topics like meditation, eating well for the mind, wellness, pet therapy, and yarn work. The Recovery/Wellness group provides discussions on wellness topics, or take part in active living, on our walks or by gardening.

Peer support groups exist with a focus on recovery/wellness, and specific groups. NISA also offers its members — and the community — the Wellness Recovery Action Plan® course, often called WRAP. During this course you can learn how to unlock mental health recovery by learning more about hope, personal responsibility, education, self-advocacy and finding your support.
