General Counselling Program

Type Of Service

Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health

Program Description

The General Counselling Program provides professional counselling services to individuals, couples and families. Counselling services address a range of issues including parenting, family breakdowns, depression/anxiety, suicidal thoughts, trauma, abuse, ongoing and daily stress, PTSD, isolation, etc. that are ethno-culturally appropriate and accessible.

The Beyond Baby Blues group is a 8 week group for mothers who are experiencing postpartum depression and/or postpartum anxiety. This clinical group is designed for women who are noting the signs and symptoms of distress that go beyond the short term "baby blues" that many women experience after birth. The group focuses upon the encouragement of positive bonding, reduction of isolation, and sharing information on useful strategies and supports for alleviating depression and anxiety.
