Crisis Intervention
Child & Youth Mental Health Crisis provides immediate support to children and youth experiencing a mental health crisis. A mental health crisis could include having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, feeling overwhelmed or hopeless, intense anxiety, overwhelming depression, feeling unable to cope and/or feeling out of control.
Community service providers who are supporting children, youth, and families in crisis can also access risk assessment, planning, and mobile/community supports.
Children, youth, and families in crisis can call anytime and will be directed to 'Press 1' to receive immediate support and safety planning from a trained crisis counsellor through Kids Help Phone.
Service providers supporting a child/youth and/or family in crisis can call 9am-9pm Monday to Friday and 'Press 2' to connect with a crisis clinician. You may be asked to leave a voicemail.
