Program Description

Provides psychiatric consultation via televideo linkage with psychiatrists at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Peterborough Regional Health Centre and Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Provides psychiatric consultation for assessment, and treatment by linkage back to the family physician or community resources for service.

Access Information

Referrals are made to the centre by the family doctor or the Emergency Department physician requesting psychiatric consultation. There is a section on the referral form to complete for psychiatric consultation. All referrals for psychiatric consultation are seen by clinical staff for assessment prior to being scheduled for consultation.

People can self-refer if they do not have a family physician.
