Case Management - Substance Use
The Methadone Case Manager position is a component of the Medically Enhanced Coordinated Care for Addictions (MECCA) program. The case manager also provides regional supports to First Nations communities.
This program is designed to replace addictive opioids with therapeutic methadone and support. We provide a comprehensive medical assessment (primary care), multidisciplinary treatment planning, counselling, withdrawal management support, information, and education.
Self-referrals by phone or in person are welcome.
Other tools used are dependent on client's presenting issues. We are pleased to partner with any referral organization to provide and co-ordinate services to their clients. Access is through one intake point for community mental health and addictions programs. Telephone counselling can be provided if necessary.
