Vocational/Employment
A program that promotes social interaction and skill development for people living with mental health issues. The program offers work orientation and training programs so participants may maintain or develop employability or volunteer skills within a small business/cafe environment. The program enables active social participation and concrete skills development in a transitional work environment. The program also provides the opportunity for socialization for people who would like to volunteer and interact with others, with the goal of reducing social isolation.
Referrals accepted from workers in social service, health or related programs. Self-referrals are also accepted.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Over 18 and living in Toronto or the surrounding area
- Living with a diagnosed mental illness
- Stable enough to handle a business environment
- Interested in food service work
