Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health
DBT is a comprehensive program with several specific forms of treatment. After four weeks of pretreatment to build motivation and orient to the program, clients participate simultaneously in ongoing individual psychotherapy and family skills group.
Anyone can refer. Gateway to service is through the Talk-In Clinic. Call or see website for details. Admission to the program requires pre-screening criteria to be met.
Strict criteria for admission includes: Youth must commit to meeting with a clinician weekly for individual sessions and weekly family skills group. Must have one caregiver willing to attend every family skills group session.
