Inpatient
Georgianwood is a voluntary residential treatment program based on best practices for concurrent disorder.
Individuals are assessed for admission and placed into one of two streams: the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) stream, which provides treatment primarily for patients with anxiety and depressive disorders; or the Skills stream, which offers skills training for patients with a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
A virtual option is now available.
Referrals for regional (non-forensic) programs are received by the Central Intake Office and reviewed by a team of clinicians.
Referrals from physicians, preferably psychiatrists, are accepted.
Eligibility:
- Axis 1 diagnosis in addition to substance use disorder
- telephone interview to be completed with each referral
- transportation and accommodations for weekend passes
- abstinent 72 hours prior to admission
Individuals prescribed Methadone or Suboxone must have 3 carries.
