Counselling and Treatment - Problem Gambling
The Problem Gambling program supports adults concerned with their own or someone else’s gambling. Assistance with self-exclusion is available. This program also provides information and educational presentations on gambling for groups and members of the community. Services include: 1:1 counselling; advocacy, support, case conferencing and referrals; and harm reduction and relapse prevention planning.
Anyone can make a referral (self-referral, primary care provider, emergency room visit, crisis worker, family member or concerned other etc.), as long as the individual consents and is willing to enter into the program. Call the Central Referral and Intake team. Referral Form is available on the CMHA Grey Bruce website.
For individuals who are concerned with their own or someone else's gambling, are willing to travel to the Owen Sound or Hanover offices for in-person counselling (or willing to have virtual appointments if you live elsewhere in Grey Bruce), and are willing to participate in the program and engage with your counsellor.
