Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health
A walk-in counselling clinic available for adults (16+) and youth (ages 7 -16). Individuals seeking the walk-in option do not require a referral from a physician. Seen on a first-come, first-served basis, walk-in clients meet first with a community mental health staff member who will assess them for appropriateness for walk-in support. Once confirmed, clients receive a same day individual counselling appointment.
Should the walk-in clinic become full on a given day, clients will be prebooked and asked to return on the next Tuesday or Thursday. There is no limit to the number of times an individual can access the walk-in clinic.
Walk-in is open in person and by telephone. While walk-ins are welcome, there may not be an available appointment so please call ahead to book a walk-in appointment. Appointments are allocated first come, first served.
Youth over the age of 12 will not require parent/guardian consent. Those younger than age 12 should be accompanied by a parent.
