Outpatient Clinic - Mental Health
The Perinatal Mental Health Program connects families, primary care providers and community organizations supporting families within the perinatal period (preconception, prenatal, postpartum with mental health concerns, such as depression and anxiety) with the Regional Perinatal Mood Disorder Coordinator.
The program offers:
- system navigation (referral pathways, consultation)
- education and training on perinatal mental health issues – assessment, screening, diagnosis, treatment and recovery
- community awareness campaigns
- advocacy
- linkage to community agencies/organizations whose mandate is to support women and their families
- support for primary care providers
Self-referrals and healthcare provider referrals are welcomed.
