Outpatient Clinic - Mental Health
Provides mental health assessment and treatment to Mount Sinai Hospital patients and their partners during pregnancy and the postpartum period for up to 1 year. Program is inclusive of all genders, sexual orientations and family structures.
The Perinatal Mental Health Clinic provides mental health treatment for individuals experiencing symptoms of daily sadness or heightened worry, or for those who are having trouble functioning in daily activities, as well as those who have lost interest previously enjoyable activities. Care is provided those with a history of a psychiatric disorder in order to help prevent a relapse during pregnancy or postpartum and to help manage new challenges as they arise. Conditions include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, eating and substance use disorders.
The program is led by an inter-professional team of psychiatrists and mental health clinicians.
Referrals accepted from physicians or NPs for any patient with care at Sinai Health System.
