Community-Based Withdrawal Management
Mobile Withdrawal Management Service (MWMS) is an in-home withdrawal management and stabilization service that supports individuals who want to withdraw from a substance (alcohol or drugs) or pursue harm reducation by meeting with them where they are located in the community, such as their home or other safe location.
MWMS is designed for clients who cannot attend in-person services due to stigma, family responsibilities, lack of privacy, etc., and would benefit from in-home care. Clients must be medically and psychiatrically stable and have no anticipated severe or complicated withdrawal symptoms.
Referrals are accepted from individuals or families
. Referrals are also accepted from physicians, nurse practitioners, or other care providers.
