Counselling and Treatment - Substance Use
Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health
The Concurrent Disorders counsellors provide community support to adults who have co-occurring diagnoses of serious mental illness (schizophrenia or other psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder, or major depression with psychotic features) and substance use disorders. A trauma informed approach to treatment planning is used and individualized recovery goals are co-developed with individuals.
Anyone can make a referral (self-referral, primary care provider, emergency room visit, crisis worker, family member or concerned other etc.), as long as the individual consents and is willing to enter into the program. Call our Central Referral and Intake team. Referral Form is available on the CMHA Grey Bruce website.
For individuals with both a serious mental illness and a substance use disorder, and who are willing to participate in the program and engage with the counsellor.
