Journey to Self-Compassion is a program that aims to build participants’ self-esteem through practicing self-compassion. The sessions are designed to teach participants how to love and accept themselves through both positive and challenging times. The sessions of the program include: Mindfulness, Cognitive Distortions (unhelpful thinking patterns), Positive Self-Talk, Gratitude, Assertive Communication, Determining Values and Setting Goals, and Self-Care. The overall goal of the program is for participants to make small changes in their everyday thinking and build skills to create positive changes in their overall self-image.
