Bed-Based Treatment - Substance Use
The residential treatment program is designed for individuals with chronic and acute substance use issues and follows the Therapeutic Community model of treatment. A therapeutic community (TC) is a long-term group-based, highly structured, and powerful treatment approach to addiction recovery.
Support staff are available 24-hours a day. Residents must participate and abide by community guidelines.
During the first two weeks of the program there is no off-site communication permitted; these privileges are earned and increase as the resident progresses through the program.
Support coordination if provided for residents on Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) by the Admissions Coordinators and the Medication Coordinators to ensure a smooth transition into treatment. Residents on OAT must participate in weekly urine screening and appointments with the Physician and bi-weekly OAT support groups. Upon discharge, support coordination is provided to ensure a smooth transition back into the community.
Friends and Family are invited to attend the Friends and Family Support Group, held on Saturdays every four weeks while their loved one is in treatment and for up to two years after, provided their loved one completed three months of the residential program.
Aftercare services are available for up to two years, provided the resident completed three months of the residential program.
Individuals requesting fee for service beds will be placed on a waiting list until the next bed opening.
A 60-day payment ($12,000) is required before entering the program.
If a funded bed becomes available before a fee for service bed, the individual will be transferred to that bed.
