Bed-Based Treatment - Substance Use
Bed-Based Treatment - Mental Health
Pelican High Peak Family Healing Lodge is a live-in service for Indigenous families currently going through active recovery of substance use and/or mental health issues. The program assists in strengthening relationships with immediate family members and supports families through the family reunification process. The program focuses on healing through culture and land-based healing. Teaching surrounding the 7 grandfathers, medicine wheel, medicines and the drum are paramount in helping youth begin to see things through a traditional lens. Over the course of the program we focus on purpose, hope, meaning and belonging.
The program can accommodate one family at a time.
Referrals are accepted from families, other treatment centres and family reunification workers. Please call or email or use webform to make a referral.
Travel can be self-directed but if travel is a financial barrier, the program can complete an application for Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) to assist with travel for admission and travel upon graduation.
Priority given to members from Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) communities.
