Community-Based Withdrawal Management
The Mobile Community Withdrawal Service (MCWS) is an outpatient service available to individuals seeking support while experiencing mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms from alcohol or opioids. This service is suitable to individuals who can safely withdraw from alcohol or opioids in a supportive community environment, like their home or the home of a family member/friend. Withdrawal management support is provided by a Nurse Practitioner and Addiction Counsellor.
Referrals are accepted from primary care providers, individuals, caregivers and families through AccessMHA. AccessMHA is a program designed to help individuals access mental health, substance use health, and addictions services.
