Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health
Centre for Mindfulness Studies offers group Mindfulness-Based mental health programs:
1) Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) - A mindfulness-based mental group program to learn how to manage anxiety & prevent the relapse of depression. MBCT is an evidence-based group therapy for preventing depressive relapse and treating mood disorders. It reduces depression, anxiety, and stress.
2) Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) - A mindfulness-based mental group program to learn practical ways to manage stress. MBSR is an 8 week program that can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood and working memory, develop more awareness, increase resilience, and enhance focus and concentration.
3) Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) - A mindfulness-based mental group program to learn how to manage difficulty with more ease and kindness. Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance our emotional well-being. While mindfulness increases our awareness of the present, self-compassion encourages greater kindness and understanding of periods of suffering. It also helps us accept our flaws and better understand our challenges.
4) Mindfully Managing Anxiety & Uncertainty - This live online group, based on CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, will help you develop a new relationship to anxiety through learning new tools and skills for working more skillfully with anxiety to live the life you want to be living.
