Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health

Program Description

This virtual program provides no fee services with a therapist who specializes in counselling specific to eating difficulties such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, body image and self-esteem. The therapist can provide skills, resources and knowledge to assist in recovering from an eating disorder and to treat and prevent the development of disordered eating patterns. If further services are needed the counsellor can assist with referrals to other specialized services. Counselling is confidential.

Access Information

Anyone can refer including self.
For new clients, or those not in high school, referrals are through AccessMHA coordinated access service. Existing clients who have received services within the last 18 months at Youth Habilitation or who are in high school can contact the organization directly.
Client must have disordered eating or body image issues. Formal diagnosis is not required.
