Two-Spirit Program

Type Of Service

Bed-Based Treatment - Substance Use

Program Description

Wakenagun Youth Healing Lodge is a live-in service for two-spirit and transgender Indigenous youth with substance use and mental health issues. The program focuses on healing through culture and land-based healing. Teaching surrounding the 7 grandfathers, medicine wheel, medicines and the drum are paramount in helping youth begin to see things through a traditional lens. Throughout the program we focus on the body (stabilization), the mind (education), the emotions (healing), and the spirit (transition).
