Peer/Self-Help - Substance Use
Provides support for parents whose children (regardless of age) are struggling with addiction. Parent supporters with lived experience, trained in the principles of Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), will lend an understanding ear and speak about strategies that can help parents/caregivers and their children.
Parent to Parent Support offers 8 conversations of up to one hour each, with the parent supporter, over a two month period. Conversations will be by phone and scheduled in advance.
All services are free and confidential.
For parents/caregivers of children struggling with addiction (regardless of age).
