Outpatient Clinic - Mental Health
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (CAPS) program is a multidisciplinary outpatient service for children and youth who require psychiatric services to address complex mental health needs.
The CAPS team connects clients with existing psychiatric service providers, that offer assessment, consultation, diagnosis, intervention, and medication management. The CAPS team coordinates and supports this psychiatric service provision by providing intake, triage, screening, assessment, medication monitoring, case management, follow-up, and discharge planning.
Children and youth requiring psychiatric care can be referred directly to the CAPS program through the Centralized Intake.
All clients must be referred directly by their primary care provider, this can be done via the Oceans referral platform.
