Program Description

Steps to Wellness is a 9-week, online group-based program led by Public Health Nurses for pregnant individuals or mothers with a baby under 12 months of age who are feeling depressed, down, hopeless, or anxious. During the 9-week series, using components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Public health nurses work with clients to understand their symptoms, and to develop the skills, needed to manage their symptoms. Steps to Wellness, offers a a proven and effective measure to significantly reduce depressive symptoms.

Access Information

Self-referrals accepted. It is preferred that an individual complete the online form. With client consent, professionals can refer individuals using the printable PDF or by completing the online referral form. Individuals can expect to be assessed by Public Health Nurses for program suitability. The 9-week series currently runs at various times throughout the year and referrals are accepted at any time.

Individuals must have access to reliable internet services to attend the virtual group.
PHQ-9/EPDS assessments must be completed
