Fresh Roots Café and Catering is an innovative social enterprise component of Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce – Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Fresh Roots employs people with mental health experience, some who have never worked, and some who haven’t worked in a long time. The goal of the program is to create a space for employees to learn and grow in a supportive environment. Fresh Roots is a community café, that strives to provide everyone who walks through the door with a warm and inviting atmosphere for a reasonably priced meal and connection with friends! All profits are put back into Fresh Roots to operate and develop the initiatives.
Referrals are accepted from Self, family, other helping professionals.
Referrals can be made by emailing or calling the Central Intake Team (or by completing the general referral form, which is available on the website.
The program is for individuals 18+ years of age who are in recovery and looking for gaining employment skills in a supportive environment. Priority is given to CMHA Grey Bruce clients.
