Intensive/Day Treatment - Mental Health
The Youth Day Hospital (YDH) is a day treatment program, provided in partnership with the Toronto District School Board, that serves young people requiring more intensive outpatient support for stabilization, assessment, and treatment to prevent hospitalization. YDH works with young people to plan for transitions to lower-intensity services while supporting academic functioning.
What does this program offer?
Group-based therapies:
- Cognitive behavioural therapy
- Dialectical behavioural therapy
- Group-based psychoeducation
Individual therapies:
- Cognitive behavioural therapy
- Dialectical behavioural therapy
- Unstructured supportive individual therapy
- Medication support by Nurse Practitioner or Doctor
- Medical management
Peer support
Self referrals can be made through Access CAMH.
Primary Care, hospitals, and community organizations or schools can complete the online referral form.
