Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic

Program Description

Offers fast access on an appointment, walk-in or virtual basis for people living with alcohol and opioid-related addictions. Services include medical treatment and same-day counselling services without a doctor’s referral.

Provides:
- Assessment of substance use disorders and review of treatment options
- Medications for alcohol and/or opioid use disorders
- Overdose prevention education and take-home Naloxone kits
- Referrals to Pinewood Centre addiction services and other services as needed
- Management of alcohol and opioid withdrawal
- Harm reduction supplies

Access Information

Self-referrals accepted, staff at Lakeridge Health and Oshawa Hospital can also refer.
Referrals can be made by calling the program directly or through Central Connect to make an appointment, or by walk-ins during clinic hours.
The clinic is also available virtually though an online portal.
